Founded in 1966, WyoTech is a for-profit, technical college in Laramie, Wyoming that was formerly known as Wyoming Technical Institute. It is one of the best auto technician vocational colleges in the United States. WyoTech offers 3 core training programs in the automotive and diesel industry namely Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, and Collision & Refinishing Technology with the opportunity to earn from 5 to 7 certifications within the program. There are also 7 specialty programs offered by the school namely Advanced Diesel, High-Performance Power Trains, Chassis Fabrication, Street Rod, Trim and Upholstery, and Applied Service Management. Students typically spend 9 months in total to finish a complete program which includes 6 months for the core program and 3 months for the complementary specialty program. University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming (UW) is a public land-grant research university situated in Laramie, Wyoming. Cheeks Beauty Academy – Cheyenne
Cheeks Beauty Academy is a small beauty school with campuses in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Loveland, Colorado. Owned and operated by Sinha Corporation, it has been training professionals in the beauty industry since 1984. The Cheyenne campus offers 5 programs namely 500-hour Instructor, 1000-hour Hairstyling, 1000-hour Barbering, 1250-hour Barber Stylist, and 1600-hour Cosmetology. Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, the school prepares students for the state licensing examinations as well as entry-level employment in their respective fields. Aside from these, the school manages a salon that is open to the public to allow its students to work with actual clients under the supervision of licensed instructors. Sheridan College is a public two-year community college based in Sheridan, Wyoming. It is one of the two colleges under the Northern Wyoming Community College District, together with Gillette College. Northwest College is a public two-year community college headquartered in Powell, Wyoming. Established in 1946, it serves Park, Washakie, and Big Horn Counties through its main campus and four additional locations namely Mickelson Field Station, Cody Center, Worland Center, and Trapper Arena.
